57 - Joe De Sena Spartan Race Founder says Don't Take the Cookie
Saturday Jun 17, 2017
Saturday Jun 17, 2017
Meet Joe De Sena. He's done many things in his life but is most well-known as the founder of the Spartan Race, one of the most daunting event series ever. He basically took the concept of running a grueling long distance event, and then added obstacles that most people would think were crazy. If you don't do an obstacle, your punishment? Burpees! I've known Joe since I made the very first appearance - literally EPISODE #1 - on his SPARTANUP! Podcast. I was immediately impressed and here's why. Joe is a very successful person. He didn't need to run around the world starting a podcast series; he was busy enough growing Spartan. But there's something inside Joe that doesn't want to stop learning and growing. That's what I tap into today for all of you.

56 - Ashley Eisenmenger Blind Triathlete Pushes the Power of Perspective
Saturday Jun 10, 2017
Saturday Jun 10, 2017
Meet Ashley Eisenmenger the youngest guest I've ever had on the show. At just 20 years old, Ashley is taking the world by storm as an elite triathlete gunning for her first World Paratriathlon Championships. Ashley has been legally blind since birth. Her only vision is the ability to see some light with her left eye. She was born a triplet with a condition called retinopathy of prematurity. Her sisters also have vision impairment, but she has the most extreme case. Ashley says that if asked if she could have her eyesight back for a do-over in life, she says no way. Part of why she has developed such a positive outlook on life is that her parents didn't know what they didn't know and just raised her like every other kid. I know you'll enjoy today's episode. Ashley is definitely making a mark on this world!

55 - Monica Leonard Protects our Families from Everyday Dangers
Friday May 26, 2017
Friday May 26, 2017
Meet Monica Leonard - Pediatric nurse turned entrepreneur, mom, wife, and trailblazer in the world of chemical-free living. Actually that's the wrong way to say it, as Monica educated me, there are all sorts of chemicals in the world. Some are really bad for you and much more abundant than we realize. Monica didn't intend to start a business that focuses on healthy living. She got here through an experience that will break your heart, but ultimately turned into something that can help others. Molly's Suds was created after Monica lost her baby, Molly, just before she was born. Monica's baby died in utero the day before she gave birth. It's tragic, horrific and triggers so much emotion that I choke up during the interview and literally have trouble recovering. Monica explains how she was able to continue on despite this deep loss, and how she became obsessed with the compounds that we expose ourselves to, without fully understanding how they may or may not affect our bodies.

Saturday May 20, 2017
Saturday May 20, 2017
Meet Meagan O'Nan. Speaker, Author, Life Coach, Peace Warrior. She's got it all going on! But she wasn't always living her truth. Meagan is from a fairly conservative southern community, so when she faced her family and friends to tell them that she is gay, she wasn't met with open arms and immediate acceptance. Meagan has traveled a brave road, encouraging herself and those around her to embrace who they are, no matter how tough acceptance may be. Today she owns a practice in Starkville, MS with her wife Clare called Thrive Health. They offer acupuncture, life coaching, massage, counseling and more. Turns out her small-town community was more than ready - the practice is growing and thriving. She's also the author of two books chock full of inspiration, tactics and other ways to help you live your truest life, "Creating Your Heaven on Earth: Unveiling the Truth that was Always There" and "Courage: Agreeing to Disagree is Not Enough."

53 - So Glad I Changed My Mind from Self-Absorbed Athlete to Mom at 39
Friday May 12, 2017
Friday May 12, 2017
It's Mother's Day. Time for a little peek behind the curtain. Swear word alert: I say the F word once and then repeat it a few more times when telling a story that involves a broken toe. If you are in the car with kids while listening, you may have to explain what that word means! I'm feeling emotional right now. Maybe because it's Mother's Day. Maybe because it's that time of month. Maybe because I'm so grateful just to be here. For whatever reason, I decided to share some thoughts on my journey into motherhood just before I turned 40.

51 - Chef Nick Graff from Noodles & Company Treat Your Food with Respect
Friday May 05, 2017
Friday May 05, 2017
Meet Chef Nick - the Executive Chef at Broomfield, Colorado-based Noodles & Company. Nick is a very cool, down to earth family man who has a clear passion for food and creation. He grew up in a food-centric family, worked his first job in a restaurant and the fire was stoked. After culinary school in NY, he worked every position at a variety of restaurants before landing at Noodles. There’s so much I love about Noodles and Nick. First of all, if you don’t like your meal, you simply say “I don’t like it.” And they make you a new meal! And you are encouraged to customize. I don’t have to feel high maintenance anymore! Finally, I love Chef Nick’s final nugget, "Eat Good Food. Treat your food with respect. Understand what your flavors are. Don’t overwhelm those flavors. Let the food you’re preparing speak to you." Enjoy!

Meet Colleen Cannon - former professional triathlete & the founder of Women’s Quest. Before retreats were a thing, before women’s-only anything was a thing, before the internet even, there was Colleen. She was one of the most prolific triathletes in the 80s and 90s. She is a World Champion and multiple time National Champion, but her background wasn’t as a purist swim, bike, runner. She rode horses. And she still does. Colleen discovered her calling early on; she knew she needed to create a way to bring women together for self-care, love and empowerment.I want to have her on the show again because we barely scratched the surface on so many incredible topics. I hope you’re ready for an energy infusion. Enjoy!

48 - Cleansing Your Life with Jules & Jo
Saturday Apr 15, 2017
Saturday Apr 15, 2017
Jo & Jules are two incredible women who have created more than a program. They’ve created a Movement. People do the cleanse and then make it an annual jump starter to realign their bodies and remember the habits that move them back to “best health.” I did the Conscious Cleanse after meeting one of the founders, Jules Pelaez. The minute I saw her I knew who she was. The glow gave her away! I'm not kidding - she exudes an all-over glow. Hair, skin, body, spirit. I later came to find out that the glow is a side effect of the Conscious Cleanse philosophy. So I embarked on the Cleanse shortly after returning from a photo shoot - perfect timing since shoots are terrible for self-care due to long hours and no time for "real exercise" or attentive eating habits. I've had a month or so since the Cleanse ended, long enough to reflect and arrive at my own perspective on the experience. Today you'll learn more about Jules, Jo and how my Conscious Cleanse experience turned out!
